About the Role
XylonTech is seeking a hands-on Technical QA Lead to establish and lead quality assurance across our products, beginning with the BhaiBahini mentorship platform.
This role combines quality leadership with practical testing. You will work closely with engineering, product, and design to build reliable testing practices, strengthen release readiness, introduce valuable automation, and ensure that important user journeys work safely and consistently.
Because BhaiBahini serves young people, mentors, sponsors, and administrators, particular attention to privacy, role-based access, data integrity, accessibility, and user safety is essential.
What You’ll Do
• Own the quality strategy, test planning, regression coverage, and release-readiness process.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate frontend behavior, backend services, APIs, databases, authentication, authorization, and third-party integrations.
• Test critical role-based journeys across mentee, mentor, sponsor, and administrator experiences.
• Build practical automated coverage for high-value and repeatable workflows.
• Integrate testing into the team’s Git-based development and CI/CD workflow.
• Lead defect triage, risk reporting, retesting, and release-quality communication.
• Review requirements, acceptance criteria, system flows, and Figma designs for testability before development.
• Help establish a scalable QA function and shared culture of product quality across XylonTech.
What We’re Looking For
• Approximately 5 or more years of software quality-assurance experience, including leadership of QA activities for a web or SaaS product.
• Strong hands-on experience with test strategies, test cases, regression suites, defect management, and release validation.
• Understanding of modern web applications, including frontend, backend, APIs, databases, authentication, and cloud environments.
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or equivalent tools.
• Ability to use SQL, application logs, and browser developer tools to investigate system behavior and defects.
• Experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or an equivalent framework.
• Working knowledge of Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating respectfully with engineering, product, and design teams.
Helpful Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be valuable:
• Establishing a QA function or automation framework for a growing product team
• Testing role-based platforms, membership systems, learning platforms, marketplaces, or scheduling products
• Accessibility testing and WCAG principles
• Security, privacy, OWASP, or performance-testing practices
• Cloud platforms and third-party integrations
• User acceptance testing, pilot launches, and production-release validation
